SUBJECT: Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) Support of Transmission Temperature and Transmission Pressure Set Points

PROBLEM:

In CAT ET, the transmission pressure and transmission temperature set point is displayed in the ECM "Configuration" screen and the ECM "Monitoring System" screen. However, the actual set point is affected only when values are changed in the "Monitoring System" screen.

SOLUTION:

Effective with the release of CAT ET 2003B, transmission set points will be removed from the ECM "Configuration" screen. Until transmission set points are removed from the "Configuration" screen, technicians should adjust transmission set points in the "Monitoring System" screen.
