PRODUCT FAMILY(S)

All Generators that use VR3, VR6B, and DVR Voltage Regulators

Component Code: 1410

SUBJECT: Loose Connections on Voltage Regulators Can Lead to Above Normal Voltage Output and Regulator Failure

PROBLEM:

Loose connections on Voltage Regulators can lead to above normal voltage output and regulator failure.

SOLUTION:

In order to help prevent unwanted above-normal voltage outputs and voltage regulator failures, perform the following actions: terminals:

VR3 Voltage Regulators (149-6130, 149-6131, 155-3819, 155-3820, 155-3821)

Add a 5H-6555 Lockwasher beneath VR3 Terminals 6, 7, 20, 22, and 24. Refer to Illustration 1.

VR6B Voltage Regulators (202-8634, 202-8638)

Add a 5H-6555 Lockwasher beneath VR6B Terminals 6, 6A, 7, 20, 22, and 24. Refer to Illustration 2.

DVR Voltage Regulators (155-3831, 155-3832, 155-3833, 155-3834, 155-3835, 155-3836)

Add a 5H-6555 Lockwasher beneath DVR Terminals 7, 20, 22, 24, 44, and 45. Refer to Illustration 3.
