SUBJECT: A Configuration Change Accompanies the Release of the 227-3845 Engine Ratings Electronic Software

PROBLEM:

With a release of the 227-3845 Engine Ratings Electronic Software, the C30 marine engine contains a second power rating. When the 227-3845 Engine Ratings Electronic Software is flashed, the engine configuration defaults to 1500 hp.

SOLUTION:

After flashing the 227-3845 Engine Ratings Electronic Software, enter the Cat ET configuration screen. Select the appropriate engine rating (see Table 1).
