Problem:

The part number for the wiper motor on certain Excavators is not clearly identified. There are several wiper motors in service. The motors appear identical creating confusion when attempting to service the motor.

Solution:

The 147-7978 Compact Motor Group is similar in appearance to the 147-7982 Compact Motor Group. The 147-7978 Compact Motor Group has a Black wire that enters the gearbox assembly. The 147-7982 Compact Motor Group has a Black wire that enters the motor housing.
