Lower Windshield Glass For Cab Is Identified Incorrectly

Usage:

EXCAVATOR307B (5CW, 6KZ) (Swing Boom) EXCAVATORS

Problem:

The Parts Manual, XEBP7738, shows an incorrect part number for the lower windshield glass in the cab. The 155-7035 Glass that is identified has the wrong dimensions.

Solution:

If it becomes necessary to replace the existing lower windshield glass, substitute the 6I-5417 Glass instead of the part number listed in the parts manual. The only other difference between the 6I-5417 Glass and the existing glass is the color of the tinting.

Engineering is in the process of correcting the bill of material and releasing a new part number for the lower windshield. As soon as a permanent change is effected, a Service Magazine article will be released to announce the new part number. The illustration identifies the location for the glass (A) in question.
