Problem:
Leakage of nitrogen precharge on the ride control accumulator can occur past the piston seal during temperature changes.
Solution:
Precharge pressures for the ride control accumulator should be checked periodically to compensate for loss due to temperature changes and gas leaking past the piston seal. The maintenance service interval for checking the precharge pressure for the ride control accumulator should be every 500 service hours or 3 months. The factory precharge setting for the 108-5933 Ride Control Accumulator is 2756 kPa (400 psi).
