Incorrect Seal Installation On The Hydrostatic Drive Causes Leaks

Usage:

WHEEL LOADERS

INTEGRATED TOOLCARRIERS

914G (7ZM, 9WM) WHEEL LOADERS;
IT14G (8ZM, 1WN) INTEGRATED TOOLCARRIERS

THIS TIB REPLACES THE INTEGRATED TOOLCARRIERS JUNE 2, 1999 WHEEL LOADER TIB, "INCORRECT SEAL INSTALLATION ON HYSTAT DRIVE MOTORS CAUSES LEAKS" AND THE JUNE 16, 1999 WHEEL LOADER TIB, "INCORRECT SEAL INSTALLATION ON HYSTAT DRIVE MOTORS CAUSES LEAKS". DESTROY BOTH THE JUNE 2,1999 TIB AND THE JUNE 16,1999 TIB. THEY WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE QUARTERLY INDEX.

Problem:

The 133-4295 Triple Lip Seal used within the hydrostatic drive group may be incorrectly installed within the 109-0613 Bearing Retainer. Oil leakage at the 108-5732 Yoke Assembly may be experienced on machines with incorrrectly installed seals.

Solution:

The 133-4295 Triple Lip Seal should be installed with the spring-backed lip facing to the gearbox side. See Illustration 1 and Illustration 2.

NOTE: The 133-4295 Seal replaced the 7X-4770 Seal. This seal installation illustration supercedes the previous 7X-4770 Seal, shown in the Parts Manual.
