Check Orientation Of Hydraulic Oil Filter Base Caterpillar

Check Orientation Of Hydraulic Oil Filter Base

Usage:

EXCAVATORS301.5 (3YW310-744) MINI-HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR

Problem:

The orientation of the oil filter base may be incorrect on the above machines. If the orientation is incorrect the hydraulic oil cooler may rupture when the temperature is below 0 degrees Celcius.

Solution:

Check the orientation of the 158-7482 Filter Base. The filter base has an arrow (A) imprinted on it. See Illustration 1. The arrow should point toward the front of the machine if correctly installed. If the filter is incorrectly installed, remove the 158-7482 Filter Base and reinstall in the correct orientation.
