Air Conditioning Unit May Fall Off The Back Of The Cab On Some 953C Machines

Usage:

TRACK-TYPE LOADER953C (2ZN1750-UP) TRACK-TYPE LOADERS

Problem:

Insufficient torque on the 8T-4185 (M10) Hex head bolts that fasten the 103-9527 Condenser group to the cab may loosen. This may cause the air conditioning unit to fall off the back of the cab.

Solution:

Check the torque of each bolt (3). Make sure that the torque is at least 55 ± 10 N·m (40.0 ± 7.0 lb ft). Retorque as required. The top three bolts are easily accessed. Remove the guard (2) in order to access the two bottom bolts. Refer to Illustration 1 below.
