Problem:

The engines in these machines have an O-ring seal that goes between the drive end of the fuel injection pump and the back side of the front housing. This O-ring seal is not serviced by Caterpillar at this time. The illustration shows the location of the O-ring seal.

Solution:

If the fuel injection pump is removed from the engine, check the location and condition of the O-ring seal identified in the illustration. If this O-ring seal is damaged or lost, it is available from a Stanadyne Dealer. The Stanadyne Part Number for the O-ring seal is 32543. This O-ring seal is for use on the following fuel injection pump groups: 141-6392, 145-8656, 147-1735, 148-2950, 148-7107, and 152-3934.
