Problem:
Some problems with electronically controlled engines require the use of factory passwords before the problem is fixed. These factory passwords to date have been available only through the Factory Password Calculator or by contacting the Truck Engine Group at CofA. If the factory passwords were needed when either of these sources were unavailable a delay in fixing the engine could result.

When using this number remember to speak clearly (you have an accent that the operator is not familiar with). Also, be careful with the way you speak. For example, if the ECM serial number is MM5Y479 do NOT say double M as this can be misunderstood, instead say each letter/number individually, that is - MIKE - MIKE - 5 - YANKEE - 4 - 7 - 9.
