Image1.2.1 |
Illustration 1.2.1 (2) 099-0169 Bolt Bolts (2) used to secure the Brackets (1) to the Output Transfer Gear have been reported to be loose. (Parts information may call out the brackets as the later 494-8056 Bracket.) |
SOLUTION If Bolts (2) show any indication of being loose, then they will need to be inspected. Use a suitable torque wrench set to 200 N.m (148 lb ft) in order to perform a static torque inspection of the bolts. If any of the bolts move when the static torque check is applied, then the bolt was loose. Clean and inspect any bolts that were found loose. Replace any damaged or missing bolts with new bolts. When tightening the bolts use the dynamic torque value of 240 +/- 40Nm (177 +/- 30 lb ft). |
