ACTION REQUIRED
NOTE: This program provides for upgrade of Product Link cellular systems from 2G service to 3G service in North America, Costa Rica, and Honduras. If a machine in the Affected Product is no longer operating in North America, Costa Rica, or Honduras, this program does not apply. Replace the cellular device (PL421 or PL522) with a new telematics device (PL241 or PL641). Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) 2014C and VIMSpc 2011A or newer should be used to perform any software updates. Note: Create a full Product Status Report (PSR) and ECM replacement files for the machin before performing the updates as some configurations and settings could be erased during the software installation process. This will allow a point of reference to restore the settings of the machine after the update. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure. NOTE: Refer to Image 1 through Image 36 below for a list of all product that may have Product Link installed. If a product in question is on the list, this program applies.
