PROBLEM
The gas inlet elbow needs to be replaced on certain 3512C Dynamic Gas Blending Oil Well Service Engines. The existing gas inlet elbow can crack creating a gas leak which may lead to fire or explosion. This could result in a risk of personal injury or death. |

Before completing the attached Rework Procedure, review the safety actions in the engine Operation and Maintenance Manual. If the engine is installed in a machine, read and understand the machinery operators manual for safety information and safe working practices before starting this Rework Procedure. Remove existing gas inlet elbow The 4 bolts that thread into the fuel heater need to be tightened to a value of 47Nm +/- 9Nm(35ftlbs +/- 7ftlbs) Refer to Image 1.1.1 |
