Some versions of the 3054 Engine have a cover on the front engine housing used to access the fuel pump gear. The 3054 Engine (5HK92045-Up, 7BJ, 9RM) and above applications use a new cover and O-ring on the front engine housing. The early 3054 Engines use a cover with a gasket on the front engine housing.

Early Housing GP 142-7265-00:

2. Gasket - 6I-0842

The new cover assembly comes with an O-ring.

New Housing GP 1208162:

1. Cover - 1746575

2. O-ring - 1746577

The new cover and O-ring on the front engine housing is not interchangeable with the old cover and gasket.
