Description of Change: The improved brake piston has machined flats on both sides of all three ears to help with installation. The improved brake piston can be installed in any orientation. The former brake piston could be installed with incorrect orientation. This would result in a binding condition between the piston and the center housing. This could lead to early brake failure.
Adaptable To: The 162-5238 Piston has replaced the former 152-4535 Piston. See Table 1 for the effectivity of the 162-5238 Piston. This change is adaptable back to first production.
