VIMS- PC 2.4.2 Upgrade
This release of VIMS-PC (Version 2.4.2) only updates the MST data files that describe machine configuration information in VIMS-PC. The main software program has not changed. Changes to the MST data files include:
-
- * The MST files have been updated to include the 994KIT and 994D models.
- * Minor repairs to existing MST files
- * The MST files have been updated to include the 994KIT and 994D models.
After this update is installed, the VIMS-PC Readme.wri file will contain new information about the update and will specify that the VIMS-PC version is now 2.4.2.
The following is a description of known problems that relate to VIMS-PC V2.4.2. These problems will be addressed in a future release of VIMS-PC and or related configuration software.
Histogram Changes
The following histograms do not provide accurate information for the models of off-highway trucks that are listed in the "Histogram Incompatibility" table:
1. All shift time histograms
2. Upshift and downshift lockup clutch engagement times
The histograms that were mentioned above are considered incompatible because the data displays incorrectly (or not at all) for the models of off-highway trucks that are listed in the "Histogram Incompatibility" table. The on-board and off-board software being out of "sync" cause this.
These histograms will display correctly with VIMS-PC V2.4.2 for all off-highway truck models except the 793C (4AR) Off-Highway Trucks. Refer to the "Histogram Incompatibility" table.
Fuel Used
Problem: The value for FUEL USAGE PER MILE (English units) and FUEL USAGE PER KILOMETER (metric units) are incorrect in the truck payload summary report in VIMS-PC 2.4 through and including VIMS-PC 2.4.2.
Resolution: To calculate the correct value of the Fuel Usage Per Mile value in the truck payload summary report, multiply the value shown in the report by 0.62137. To calculate the correct value of the Fuel Usage Per Kilometer, multiply the value shown in the report by 0.62137.
Order Information
The Vehicle Off-board Bundle (VOB) software purchase and upgrade options table provides ordering information for the various options.
Dealer Start Up:
When JERD2137 and JERD2138 subscriptions are ordered, all VOB related updates are shipped automatically. The dealer will be billed annually in January for dealer and customer subscriptions.
Customer Start-Up:
