Installation Of The Brake Piston {4250}

Usage:

914G (7ZM1-Up, 9WM1-Up) Wheel Loaders;
IT14G (1WN1-Up, 8ZM1-Up) Integrated Toolcarriers

The 152-4535 Piston, part of the 152-2760 Brake and Planetary Group has two machined flats on two of the piston ears. The two flat surfaces on the piston ears must align with the flat surfaces within the center housing of the axle. The brake piston can be assembled in three possible orientations and still appear properly installed.

NOTE: Care should be taken during installation to ensure correct alignment. These flat surfaces are very subtle and could be overlooked during assembly.

An incorrectly aligned piston will result in reduced running clearance between the piston and the center housing. This could cause a binding condition which may lead to premature brake failure.
