A new brake system is now standard production for all 914G and IT14G machines. The new brake system is now fully hydraulic providing reduced pedal effort and improved inching modulation. The fully hydraulic brake system eliminates mechanical linkages which reduces the need for periodic adjustment.
With the new fully hydraulic brake system, changes were made to the axle brake groups. These changes include the addition of retraction springs to prevent possible brake drag.
Included with the brake system change, all 914G and IT14G machines are now equipped with brakes in both axles. Prior to this change, the standard speed 914G and IT14G had brakes only in the front axles.
This change is effective with the following machines: 914G STD (7ZM600-Up), 914G SPDR (9WM1299-Up), IT14G STD (8ZM500-Up), and IT14G SPDR (1WN899-Up).
NOTE: This change is not adaptable to any of the previous machines.
