The Remanufactured 3500 With EUI And 3500B Engines for these trucks are now built without the 7E-8098 Thermocouple Group installed at each cylinder head. These engines are now built with a 5B-7890 Plug installed in place of the 7E-6830 Thermocouple and 5N-2126 Adapter. All Remanufactured 3500 Mechanical Unit Injection Machine Engines will retain the 7E-8098 Thermocouple Group installed at each cylinder head.
If a customer still wants cylinder head exhaust port thermocouples, the 7E-8098 Thermocouple Group is still available.
The 7E-8098 Thermocouple Group was originally released on Mechanical Unit Injection (MUI) engines in order to help mechanics troubleshoot injector problems, but this is not required for EUI engines. The injector "clack" test can be performed on Remanufactured 3500 With EUI And 3500B Engines to troubleshoot the injectors.
The removal of the 7E-8098 Thermocouple Group from Remanufactured 3500 With EUI And 3500B Engines is effective as listed in the chart.
