On Page 17, Step 1 is incorrect and should read as follows:

1. At 113-1543 Brake Valve Group (Refer to Illustraiton 1), disassemble former hose assembly and replace former elbow with 8T-2883 Tee (8). Collect any hydraulic oil into a suitable container. On 793C Off-Highway Trucks, connect 135-0130 Hose Assembly (12) to 8T-2883 Tee (8) (large port). All other models connect former hose assembly to 8T-2883 Tee (large port).

--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: Re-routing of the service brake lines groups on certain Off-Highway Trucks will decrease possible oil contamination to the hydraulic make-up tank and slack adjusters. This modification features a brake line bypass from the wheel group to the brake valve group and is adaptable to 2A-6964, 8W-4443, 5T-4471, 8X-0236 and 124-7696 Service Brake Lines Groups (not serviced). Additional parts are required for this modification and should be ordered in advance.

NOTE: Parts list requirements are applicable by model and will vary accordingly. Refer to the following chart for specific model information.

Procedure For Re-routing Service Brake Lines Groups

1. At 113-1543 Brake Valve Group (Refer to Illustration 1). Disassemble former hose assembly and replace former elbow with 8T-2883 Tee. Collect any hydraulic oil spillage into a suitable container. On 793C Off-Highway Trucks connect 135-0310 Hose Assembly to 8T-2883 Tee (large port). All other models connect former hose assembly to 8T-2883 Tee (large port).

2. Assemble 6V-8397 Seal to 8T-0788 Elbow.

3. Assemble 8T-0788 Elbow to 8T-2883 Tee.

4. Assemble 3J-1907 Seal to 8T-0788 Elbow.

5. Assemble 6E-5065 Screen Group to 8T-0788 Elbow.

6. Assemble 3J-1907 Seal to 6E-5065 Screen Group.

7. Assemble 8T-6663 Adapter to 6E-5065 Screen Group.

8. Assemble 6V-8397 Seal to 8T-6663 Adapter.

9. Choose applicable hose assembly from above chart. Assemble either 6C-3633, 9C-9001 or 154-3748 Hose Assembly at 8T-6663 Adapter to complete re-routing modifications at the brake valve group. Secure hose assembly as required. Refer to Parts Required Chart for correct hose assembly.

10. At wheel group or open port from former hose assembly routing location. Install 3J-1907 Seal and 9S-4191 Plug (to seal and secure hydraulic flow from port at former hose routing location).

11. At 6E-1851 Hydraulic Tank Group (Make-Up Tank). Remove former elbow and hose assembly. Refer to Illustration 2.

12. Assemble 122-7765 Plug-Pipe into the 3E-7432 Elbow.

13. Assemble 3J-1907 Seal to 3E-7432 Elbow.

14. Assemble 3E-7432 Elbow to 6E-1851 Hydraulic Tank Group (Make-Up Tank).

15. Assemble 6V-8397 Seal to 3E-7432 Elbow.

16. Assemble opposite end of hose assembly selected from Step 9 to 3E-7432 Elbow. Route and secure hose assembly as required.

Adaptable To: Modifications are adaptable to 784B (5RK) Tractors; 785 (8GB), 785B (6HK), 789 (9ZC), 789B (7EK), 793 (3SJ), 793B (1HL) and 793C (4AR) Off-Highway Trucks.
