Two new hydraulic pumps have been released for the C-Series Backhoe Loaders. The new pumps provide two different torque limiter settings for engine horsepower available in the C-Series machines. The new pumps will better match available engine horsepower allowing the pump performance to be maximized.
The 155-5110 Piston Pump has a limiter setting of 205 N·m (150.7 lb ft) for 75 horsepower engines. The 155-5109 Piston Pump has a limiter setting of 230 N·m (169 lb ft) for higher horsepower engines. Both new piston pumps are direct replacements for the former 112-6564 Piston Pump.
Manufacturing effectivity for the new pumps is shown in Chart 1.
Machines manufactured back to first production with the former 112-6564 Piston Pump can upgrade to the new limiter settings by installing update kits. A flow meter and a special pump adjustment procedure are required to install the update kits.
The new 155-8324 Piston Pump Adjustment Kit will change 112-6564 Piston Pump to a limiter setting of 205 N·m (150.7 lb ft) for 75 horsepower engines. The new 155-5111 Piston Pump Adjustment Kit will change 112-6564 Piston Pump to a limiter setting of 230 N·m (169 lb ft) for higher horsepower engines.
