Description of Change: A new piston pump is used for the brake, steering, and hoist systems. The new piston pump provides longer service life in several ways.

- * Improved bolt retention in retraction swashplate.
- * Retention of adjustment in compensator valve.
- * Prevents scoring of port plate.
- * Prevents wear of barrel and piston.
Adaptable To: The new 140-0295 Piston Pump is a direct replacement for former 123-2985 and 132-7098 Piston Pumps. The new 140-0295 Piston Pump is effective with D250E (5TN771 excluding 779, 780, and 781), and D300E (7FN423) Articulated Trucks.
The new 140-0295 Piston Pump is adaptable to the following machines using the 123-2985 Piston Pump:
- D250E (5TN1-625), and D300E (7FN1-346) Articulated Trucks.
The new 140-0295 Piston Pump is adaptable to the following machines using the 132-7098 Piston Pump:
- D250E (5TN626-770 Including 779, 780, and 781), and D300E (347-422) Articulated Trucks
Former 123-2985 and 132-7098 Piston Pumps can be upgraded to the new 140-0295 Piston Pump, as follows:

- * For the 123-2985 Piston Pump, replace the former 131-6613 Rotating Kit with a new 139-2584 Pump Rotating Group (A), 139-2585 Swashplate Group (1), and 136-7497 Pump Shaft (2).
- * For the 132-7098 Piston Pump, replace the former 136-7518 Pump Rotating Group with a new 139-2584 Pump Rotating Group (A), and the former 136-2193 Swashplate Group with a new 139-2585 Swashplate Group (1).
- * For the 123-2985 Piston Pump, replace the former 131-6613 Rotating Kit with a new 139-2584 Pump Rotating Group (A), 139-2585 Swashplate Group (1), and 136-7497 Pump Shaft (2).
