Stronger Injector Hold Down Bolt Used In Fuel Injection Pump Groups {1290}

Description of Change: A new stronger injector hold down bolt is used in the fuel injection pump groups on these engines. See Illustration 1.

Adaptable To: The new 152-3001 Bolt is a direct replacement for the 5P-8347 Bolt in the fuel injection pump groups on these engines. The new bolt is effective with 3176C (7ZR949-Up) and 3196 (6AR1023-Up) Machine Engines and adaptable to all earlier 3176, 3176C, and 3196 Machine Engines.

NOTE: The new 152-3001 Bolt can be identified by the number "11.9" embossed on the head of the bolt. The number "10.9" is embossed on the head of the 5P-8347 Bolt. See Illustration 2.

The installation torque for the new 152-3001 Bolt is the same as for the 5P-8347 Bolt, 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
