Usage:
793 (3SJ),
793B (1HL) Off-Highway Trucks
Description of Change: Changes are made to the water lines groups in the above machines powered by 3516 Engines. An additional bracket and thicker plates to support the manifold, as well as additional lower water line brackets and changing some water lines from steel tubing to flexible wire braid hose, helps reduce vibration. Additional assembly improvements are made to the water lines groups. The bolts used to attach the new bracket are shortened and the bracket is lowered by placing the manifold plate on the top side of the support bracket. Installation of the shunt lines into the manifold is easier because of reduced interference.
Adaptable To: Changes are made to the 9Y-8907 Water Lines Group effective with 793B (1HL61-Up) Off-Highway Trucks. All changes are adaptable back to first production for 793 and 793B Off-Highway Trucks. The changes include:
-
- * Two additional 4P-3563 Clamp Assemblies for the lower water lines (see Chart 1 for necessary parts).
Typical view of the 9Y-8907 Water Lines Group.
View of the 119-6299 Bracket shown in the lowered position, preventing interference during assembly.
Typical view of the 9Y-8907 Water Lines Group.
-
- * The 7E-7507 Water Tube Assembly is changed to the 107-0745 Hose Assembly (flex line). See Chart 2.
-
- * A 107-0766 Manifold allows for two 107-0746 Brackets instead of one. See Chart 3. The 107-0746 Brackets and the 107-0757 Plate Assemblies that support the 107-0766 Manifold, are increased in size for added support.
NOTE: In order to attach the second 107-0766 Bracket to the 7E-2341 Retainer Plate, two holes must be drilled and tapped 279.4 mm (11.11 in) away from the existing 4P-6645 Bracket holes.
Chart 4 and the illustration show the additional changes needed in order to reduce interference with the shunt line to the manifold. The new parts allow the 107-0757 Plate Assembly to be attached to the top side of the 107-0746 Bracket.
