Description of Change: New temperature regulators are used in the above Machines Powered by 3500 Engines. The new temperature regulators include the following improvements:

* More accurate opening and closing temperatures
* Lower leakage rates
* Structural improvements increase durability

The new temperature regulators will provide increased service life.

NOTICE

Jacket water temperature must be minimally maintained above 77°C (170°F). The preferred jacket water temperature should be maintained above 82°C (180°F). Maintaining jacket water temperatures above these thresholds will prevent the formation of sulfuric acid in the combustion chamber. If sulfuric acid forms in the combustion chamber, the pistons, rings, and liners will wear rapidly. The result could lead to a shorten engine life.

Adaptable To: Chart 1 identifies the new and former temperature regulators that are typically used. Chart 2 identifies other available temperature regulators.
