Bolt Lengths Changed In Oil Cooler Lines Group For Proper Fastening {1365,7554}

Usage:

793 (3SJ),
793B (1HL) Off-Highway Trucks

Description of Change: Some bolts used in oil cooler lines groups have been changed to a shorter length bolt. This prevents bottoming of the former bolts which were too long for the threaded hole depth. Also, some bolts were changed to longer lengths to allow for sufficient thread engagement.

Adaptable To: The following changes have been made to 8X-0234 Oil Cooler Lines Group (not serviced) effective with 793B (1HL359) Off-Highway Truck. These changes are adaptable to all previous 793 (3SJ1-Up) and 793B (1HL1-358) Off-Highway Trucks:

Longer fasteners were used to allow for sufficient thread engagement for fastening as follows:

* Two 8T-4956 Bolts (1) replace two 8T-4192 Bolts used to fasten two 2V-0600 Clips (8) as shown in view C-C above.
* One 8T-4194 Bolt (9) replaces one 8T-4183 Bolt used to fasten 6V-1867 Clip (7) and 6V-1868 Clip (11) also shown in view C-C.
* One 8T-4183 Bolt (10) replaces one 8T-4139 Bolt used to fasten 2V-0600 Clip in view C-C.
* One 085-8091 Bolt (4) replaces 8T-4185 Bolt used to fasten 6S-9150 Clip (5) and 6S-9151 Clip (6) to the Frame as shown in view B-B above.
* Two 8T-4956 Bolts (1) replace two 8T-4139 Bolts used to fasten 5P-7468 Clip (2) and 5P-7469 Clip (3) to line between oil cooler filter and middle rear brake oil cooler as shown in view D-D above.

Shorter bolts were used to prevent bottoming in mating hole as follows:

* Eight 8T-4183 Bolts (10) replace eight 8T-4194 Bolts used to fasten two 8X-8240 Plate Assemblies (12) to the left and right side rails as shown in the illustration above.
* One 8T-4192 Bolt (15) replaces one 8T-4183 Bolt used to fasten 5P-7470 Clip (13) and 5P-7471 Clip (14) to rear brake oil coolers as shown in view G-G (see Illustration 4).
