The philosophy at Caterpillar is to incorporate significant improvements in remanufactured products to provide the greatest value to the customer. The charts in this publication identify significant improvements for final drives (wheel arrangements), transmissions and torque converters for mining products, the effective date in the corresponding remanufactured products and the publication that announced the change on the new product.

The serial numbers in these charts are the beginning serial number when the improvement was incorporated. The serial number for the listed products is a sequential number. If the serial number of the remanufactured unit is greater then the serial number in the chart, the improvement has been incorporated.

Announcements of future improvements on new drive train products will reference the effective date and serial number of corresponding remanufactured unit as well.
