New Master Cylinder Group Reduces Brake Pedal Effort {4258}

Usage:

914G (9WM1-UP) Wheel Loaders, IT14G (1WN1-UP) Integrated Toolcarriers

Reference: Service Manual Module, SENR6771, Page 7, Service Brake Master Cylinder Group With Brake Boost Cylinder, High Speed Machines Equipped With Front And Rear Service Brakes.

Description of Change: A new master cylinder group is used on the models listed. The new master cylinder group requires less pedal pressure to create the same amount of output pressure as the former master cylinder group.

Adaptable To: The new 130-5521 Master Cylinder Group replaces the former 122-9727 Master Cylinder Group. This change is effective with 914G (9WM346-Up) Wheel Loaders, and IT14G (1WN244-Up) Integrated Toolcarriers. This change is also adaptable to first production for the machines listed.

The 914G (9WM1-345) Wheel Loaders and IT14G (1WN1-243) Integrated Toolcarriers have an alternative way of being updated.The former 122-9727 Master Cylinder Group can be updated by the installation of the 8R-3583 Master Cylinder Assembly. This process will produce the same results as changing the entire master cylinder group.

Either of these processes will give the reduced pedal pressure shown in the following chart.
