Governor Spring Guide Press Depth{1287,1284}

Usage:


Caterpillar Machines Powered By 3204, 3304, 3306, 3406B, And 3406C Machine Engines

When installing a new governor spring guide in the governor housing, be sure to press the guide to the correct depth.

For 3204, 3304, and 3306 Machine Engines, press the governor spring guide (2) into the governor housing (1) to a depth of 1.40 ± 0.25 mm (.055 ± .010 in). Illustration 1 shows the correct dimension for 3204, 3304, and 3306 Machine Engines.

For 3406B and 3406C Machine Engines, press the governor spring guide (3) into the governor housing (4) to a depth of 11.80 ± 0.25 mm (.465 ± .010 in). Illustration 2 shows the correct dimension for 3406B and 3406C Machine Engines.
