Caterpillar Motor Graders can now be ordered from the factory with 3Z-5362 Lines Group. The 3Z-5362 Lines Group will have the 8J-9975 Valve Group (lock valve) with a relief.
The 8J-9975 Lock Valve Group is a direct replacement for the 8J-9974 Lock Valve Group which is for the right blade lift cylinder. The 8J-9975 Valve Group with the relief can prevent damage to the cylinder.

It is not recommended that a motor grader be parked with the blade in the raised position.
If a motor grader is parked in a heated building after being operated in cold temperatures, the combination of the oil warming in the cylinder, and the weight of the blade, can cause the pressure in the right blade lift cylinder to become high enough to damage the cylinder. The lock valve group with the relief can help prevent damage in these situations.
