O-Ring Seal Added To Heater Lines Group {1380}

Usage:


D20D (9MG),
D250D (6NG) Articulated Trucks

Description of Change: Two O-ring seals have been added to the heater lines group. The new O-rings go on two connectors that are screwed into the cylinder block. See the illustration. The new O-rings will help prevent coolant leaks.

Adaptable To: Two new 3K-0360 O-Ring Seals have been added to the 7U-9939 Heater Lines Group. The new O-ring seals are in effect with D20D Articulated Truck 9MG75 and D250D Articulated Truck 6NG222. The new 3K-0360 O-Ring Seals can be added to the heater lines in earlier articulated dump trucks. See the procedure that follows.


Location of components in the 7U-9939 Heater Lines Group. New 3K-0360 O-Ring Seals (1). 6V-1438 Connectors (2). 2U-2526 Hose Clamps (3). 4U-7962 Heater Hoses (4).

Installation Procedure

1. Drain the engine coolant into a suitable container.

2. Loosen two 2U-2526 Hose Clamps (3) and remove two 4U-7962 Heater Hoses (4).

3. Remove two 6V-1438 Connectors (2) from the cylinder block.

4. Install two new 3K-0360 O-Ring Seals (1) on connectors (2).

5. Install connectors (2) and O-ring seals (1) in the cylinder block.

6. Install heater hoses (4) on connectors (2) and tighten hose clamps (3).

7. Fill the radiator with coolant to the correct level.
