New Personality Modules Require New Service Program Modules {1902}

3176 and 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engines

Reference: Service Magazine; October 30, 1989; Page 11; "Service Program Modules Must Be Ordered By Literature Form Numbers" for 3176 and 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engines; Off-Highway Trucks Equipped with Payload Monitoring System.

All 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engines shipped after April 2, 1990 will have new personality modules. These will require new Service Program Modules (SPM's) for Digital Diagnostic Tools (DDT's) and Electronic Control Analyzer Programmers (ECAP's) to service the fuel system. Those who have purchased subscriptions (shown in the chart below) for their ECAP's and DDT's will receive the new SPM's automatically. Those who have not purchased subscriptions, should do so through the Dealer Literature ordering system.
