Usage:
1. Remove the generator from the engine.
2. Use two 3/8"-16 NC nuts (3) on two of the plate assembly bolts to keep fan (2) and plates (1) together. This is to help prevent damage to the fan and plates when they are removed.
PREPARING TO REMOVE THE GENERATOR DRIVE
1. Plates. 2. Fan. 3. Nuts (two). 4. Bolts (six). 5. Flange. 6. Hub.
REMOVING THE GENERATOR DRIVE ASSEMBLY
1. Plates. 2. Fan. 5. Flange. 6. Hub. 7. Shims.
3. Inspect shims (7) for damage, but do not remove them from hub (6) unless replacement is necessary. See the topic, ALIGNMENT OF SINGLE BEARING GENERATORS, for addition or removal of shims.
4. Inspect generator fan (2). Replace the fan if it is damaged.
5. Install the generator fan and drive assembly in the reverse order of removal.
