Usage:
Start By:
a. remove torque converter oil cooler *
*This operation is in the Power Train Disassembly And Assembly section.
NOTE: The oil filters are removed for better photo illustration.
1. Remove two bolts (1) from each end of the engine oil cooler.
2. Remove the engine oil cooler.
3. Remove adapter (3) from engine oil cooler (2), and remove the O-ring seals from the adapter.
4. Clean the tube bundles in the engine oil cooler with a 3.18 mm (.12 in) diameter rod used as shown.
NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the engine oil cooler.
5. Check all seals and gaskets. If damaged, use new parts for replacement. Put clean engine oil on all seals. Install the O-ring seals on the adapter (3), and install the adapter in the engine oil cooler.
6. Install engine oil cooler (2) in inlet bonnet (4).
7. Install two bolts (1) in each end of the engine oil cooler.
