Usage:
NOTE: The radiator guard and engine enclosure were removed for better photo illustration only.
1. Disconnect the wires from fuel pressure switch (1).
2. Remove fuel lines (2), (3), (4) and (5). Put caps on the fuel line openings.
3. Use tool (A) to remove fuel filter (6).
4. Remove two bolts (8), and remove bracket (7) and the fuel filter base from the oil manifold.
5. Remove the three nuts and fuel transfer pump (9) from the pump drive housing.
Install Fuel Transfer Pump (Later Interim Scroll Fuel System)
1. Be sure the O-ring seal is in position on the fuel transfer pump, and put clean oil on the O-ring seal. Put fuel transfer pump (1) in position on the pump drive housing, and install the three nuts that hold it in place.
2. Put bracket (2) in position on the oil manifold, and install the two bolts that hold it in place.
3. Install fuel filter (3).
4. Install fuel lines (4), (5), (6) and (7).
5. Connect the wires to fuel pressure switch (8).
6. Remove the air from the fuel system. See the Maintenance Guide.
Disassemble Fuel Transfer Pump (Later Interim Scroll Fuel System)
START BY:
a. remove fuel transfer pump (later interim scroll fuel system)
1. Remove fitting (1). Remove fitting (2), the spring and check valve from the pump body. Remove fitting (3) from the pump body.
2. Remove O-ring seal (4) from the pump body.
3. Remove plug (5), the spring and check valve from the pump body.
4. Remove plug (6), the spring and plunger from the pump body.
5. Remove ring (7) from the pump body.
6. Remove roller assembly (9) and rod (8) from the pump body. To disassemble roller assembly (9), remove the guides, pin and roller from the roller assembly.
Assemble Fuel Transfer Pump (Later Interim Scroll Fuel System)
1. Clean all parts before assembly. Put lubricant on all parts and O-ring seals.
2. Install roller (3), pin (2) and guides (1) in roller assembly (5). Install rod (4) and roller assembly (5) in the pump body.
3. Install ring (6) that holds the roller assembly in the pump body. Make sure the end of ring (6) is installed in hole (7) in the pump body.
4. Install O-ring seal (8) on plug (9). Install plunger (10), spring (11) and plug (9) in the pump body.
5. Install O-ring seal (13) on plug (14). Install check valve (15), spring (12) and plug (14) in the pump body.
6. Install O-ring seal (18) on fitting (19). Install check valve (16), spring (17) and fitting (19) in the pump body. Install fitting (21) in fitting (19).
7. Install fitting (20) in the pump body. Install the O-ring seal on the pump body.
END BY:
