2301 ELECTRIC GOVERNOR FOR GENERATOR SET AND INDUSTRIAL ENGI Caterpillar

Problem No. 8: Engine Does Not Parallel

Usage:

Step 1. Reverse Power Relay Check

Test Procedure:

Check the Reverse Power Relay for correct connections and for a correct setting of current level and length of time delay. If settings look acceptable, increase the settings above normal for the test that follows.

Expected Results:

Reverse Power Relay settings should be the same as the actual reverse current flow (no overlimit reverse power).

Step 2. Check for Incompatibility of 2301 Control Units

Test Procedure:

Measure the voltage at each of the 2301 Controls between terminal T13 (negative supply voltage) and terminal T11 (paralleling line common). Now make a comparison of all results.

Expected Results:

The voltage at each 2301 Control unit should be within 2 volts of all others.
