Installation Of Duct Assembly{7337} Caterpillar

Introduction

This instruction gives the information and procedures necessary to modify the dash to accept a duct assembly that will direct air/heat towards the operator for comfort.

Installation of 8W4896 Duct Assembly

8W4896 Duct Assembly.
(A) - Operators Compartment. (B) - Optional Duct Assembly.

1. Remove the existing diffuser assembly.

2. Install 7G4621 Boss (4) at the dimension shown and make a 3 mm (.12") fillet weld at location (D).

3. Install 8W4895 Duct (1) with 8T8908 Bolt (2) and 5P4115 Washer (3).

4. Install 9W2706 Diffuser Assembly (5) as shown.

8W4898 Duct Assembly.
(A) - Operators Compartment. (B) - Optional Duct Assembly. (C) - Directional Air Flow Adjustment. (D) - Air Flow Shut Off.

1. Remove existing louver assembly.

2. Install three 7G4621 Bosses (5) at the dimensions shown and make a 3 mm (.12") fillet weld at location (E).

3. Install 8W4899 Seal (6) with the adhesive side to the duct on the bottom of the duct.

4. Install 8W4897 Duct (1) with three 8T8908 Bolts (3) and 5P4115 Washers (4).

5. Install 7T4306 Louver Assembly (2) as shown.
