Oil Pump
Refer to SERVICE GUIDE for Preliminary Information.
- 8H695 Puller
1 Use an 8H695 Puller to remove the gear. Heat gear to install, maximum temperature 750°F (400°C). End clearance should be .0015-.0035 in. (0,04-0,09 mm).
2 Shaft assembly includes the gear. The edges of the shaft bearings must be .020 in. (0,50 mm) beneath the finished surfaces of the pump body and cover.
3 Shaft is press fit in pump body. The edges of the bearings, in the gear, must be .030 in. (0.76 mm) beneath the finished surfaces of the gear.
4 The plate on the bottom of the tube assembly must be installed level with the bottom of cover (5).
Oil Cooler
Refer to SERVICE GUIDE for Preliminary Information.
1 Spring, plunger, gasket and plug from either the oil cooler bypass valve or the oil filter bypass valve. The parts for the two valves are identical. A 5/32" (3,97 mm) rod can be used to push obstructions from the tubes in the oil cooler.
