Usage:

The PC unit moves the fuel system timing forward 4° between approximately low idle and 1100 rpm.

The DI unit moves the fuel system timing forward 21/4° between approximately low idle and 1100 rpm.

(3) Tightening procedure for bolts:

Earlier Engines (single bolt retainer)

a. Tighten to a torque of ... 15 lb. ft.(20 N·m)

b. Remove timing pin.

c. Tighten to a final torque of ... 110 ± 10 lb. ft.(149 ± 14 N·m)

Later Engines (four bolt retainer)

a. Tighten bolts evenly to a torque of ... 25 lb. ft.(35 N·m)

b. Remove timing pin.

c. Tighten bolts evenly to a torque of ... 50 lb. ft.(70 N·m)

d. Tighten bolts evenly to a last torque of:

Unit with flat retainer ... 80 ± 5 lb. ft.(110 ± 7 N·m)

Unit with step retainer ... 100 ± 5 lb. ft.(135 ± 7 N·m)
