Selector Valve

Usage:

Remove And Install Selector Valve

1. Disconnect hose (4) from the selector valve (3) at union (2).

2. Remove five bolts (1) that hold selector valve (3) to the oil manifold (5).

3. Remove the selector valve (3).

4. Inspect gasket (6) and make a replacement between oil manifold (5) and selector valve (3) if it is broken or damaged.

5. Install selector valve (3) with five bolts (1).

6. Connect hose (4) to the selector valve (3) at union (2).

Disassemble Selector Valve

start by:

a) remove the selector valve

1. Remove the three top cover bolts and lockwashers (1).


NOTICE

Be very careful when valves are removed from the valve body. A valve that has a scratch can cause bad operation of the selector valve.


2. Remove the selector lever (3), detent assembly (4) and the top cover (12) as a unit.

3. Remove load piston (5), outer pressure regulating spring (6) and inner pressure regulating spring (7) from the top of the valve body (8).

4. Remove stop (13), check valve (14), and check valve spring (15) from the top of valve body (8).

5. Remove the three bottom cover bolts and lockwashers (2). Remove the bottom cover (11).

6. Remove the directional valve spool (17) from the bottom of the valve body (8). The directional valve spool (17) slides out of bushing and seal (16).

7. Remove the relief valve (10) and spacers (9) from the bottom of the valve body (8).

Assemble Selector Valve

1. Install directional valve spool (14) in valve body (6) from the bottom cover (9) end.

2. Put selector lever (1) into hole in spool stem (17). Carefully make an alignment of components so detent assembly (2) does not fall out of top cover assembly (10).

3. Install spacers (7) in relief valve (8), with thicker spacers next to springs (4) and (5). Install relief valve (8), spacers (7) and springs (4) and (5) in valve body (6) from the bottom cover (9) end.

4. Install bottom cover (9) with the three bolts and lockwashers (16).

5. Install pressure regulating springs (4) and (5), load piston (3), check valve spring (13), check valve (12) and stop (11) into valve body (6).

6. Install top cover (10) with the three bolts and lockwashers (15).
