Usage:
1. Turn the crankshaft clockwise (as viewed from the front of engine) to put the No. 1 piston on top center of compression stroke. See LOCATING TOP CENTER COMPRESSION POSITION FOR NO. 1 PISTON in TESTING AND ADJUSTING.
2. Remove the turbocharger lubrication line (1) and the oil drain line (2).
3. Disconnect the fuel ratio control sensing line (3) from the fuel ratio control. Disconnect the governor linkage from the governor. Disconnect wiring from shutoff solenoid. Disconnect wiring from BrakeSaver switch (engines with BrakeSaver only).
4. Disconnect the fuel injection lines from the fuel injection pump housing. Disconnect the fuel line (4) from housing.
5. Remove the fuel injection pump housing mounting bolts. Remove the fuel injection pump housing and governor. Weight is 70 lb. (32 kg).
Install Fuel Injection Pump Housing And Governor
1. Put the fuel injection pump housing and governor in position on the engine. Install the housing mounting bolts.
2. Connect the fuel injection lines to the housing. Tighten retaining nuts to 30 ± 5 lb.ft. (40.7 ± 6.8 N·m).
3. Connect fuel ratio control sensing line. Connect governor control linkage and solenoid wiring. Connect wiring to BrakeSaver switch (engine with BrakeSaver only).
4. Install the turbocharger lubrication line and oil drain line.
5. Check the fuel injection pump camshaft timing. See FUEL INJECTION PUMP CAMSHAFT TIMING in TESTING AND ADJUSTING.
