Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

Usage:

Fuel Shutoff Solenoid Activated To Run

Fuel Shutoff Solenoid Activated To Stop

Remove Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

1. Remove bolts (2) and remove solenoid (1).

NOTE: There are two types of fuel shutoff solenoids. One type is activated to run and the other type is activated to stop.

Install Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

1. Put fuel shutoff solenoid (1) in position on the housing and install the bolts.

Disassemble Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

start by:

a) remove fuel shutoff solenoid

1. Remove the piston, shaft (2) and spring (1) from solenoid.

NOTE: The solenoid that is activated to run has a spring. The solenoid that is activated to stop does not have a spring.

Assemble Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

1. Install the spring, piston and shaft.

2. The solenoid with the spring must have the shaft installed tight against the piston.

3. The solenoid and shaft without the spring must have a dimension of 1.397 ± .010 in. (35.48 ± 0.25 mm) from the face of plate (1) to the inside of the end of shaft (2). Make sure the piston is pushed all the way in when checking the measurement.
