1. Disconnect the wires from the electric starting motor. Put identification on the wires to prevent a mix at installation.

2. Fasten a hoist to the electric starting motor. Remove three bolts (1) that hold starting motor to the flywheel housing.

3. Remove the electric starting motor. Weight of the electric starting motor is 70 lb. (32 kg).

Install Electric Starting Motor

1. Fasten hoist to the electric starting motor. Put the electric starting motor (1) in position in the flywheel housing. Install the three bolts that hold it.

2. Connect the wires to the starting motor. Tighten the nuts that hold the wires to a torque of 20 to 25 lb.ft. (25 to 35 N·m).
