Remove All 6I1775 Pump Drive Bearings With Engineering Change "0" Used On 3408 And 3412 Engines From Parts Stock Caterpillar

Termination Date

Problem

The 6I1775 Pump Drive Bearing with engineering change "0", identified by "-0-" and located just to the right of the part number, may leak oil at the supply port, due to casting porosity. The 6I1775 Pump Drive Bearing with engineering change "1", identified by "-1-" located just to the right of the part number, has been changed to increase the material around the port to eliminate the porosity.

Action Required

Remove all 6I1775 Pump Drive Bearings with engineering change "0" from Parts Stock.

NOTE: TEPS/MEPS dealers are reimbursed for recalled Parts Stock by returning the affected Parts Stock to their administering Caterpillar dealer for replacement.

Service Claim Allowances

Submit one claim for all 6I1775 Bearings removed from Parts Stock.

Parts Disposition

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
