6I4783 Fuel Filters need to be removed from Parts Stock and from machines in dealer inventory equipped with 3116 Engines. These filters have been cancelled and should be replaced by new 1R0751 Fuel Filters.

Action Required

Remove all 6I4783 Fuel Filters from Parts Stock and from all machines in dealer inventory equipped with 3116 Engines. After removing the existing 6I4783 Fuel Filter from a machine in inventory, install a new 1R0751 Fuel Filter.

Service Claim Allowances

Submit one claim for all 6I4783 Fuel Filters removed from Parts Stock and from machines in dealer inventory.

Parts Disposition

Hold all 6I4783 Fuel Filters removed from Parts Stock and await further instructions from Caterpillar Engine Division.
