Silicone Grease Now Used In Seal Ring Groove In Turbochargers

All Engines Equipped With Turbochargers
Description of Change: An application of 4L7464 Silicone Grease is now used in the seal ring groove at the turbine end of the wheel and shaft assembly of turbochargers. The silicone grease will give assistance to the seal rings to make a better oil seal at the turbine end of the turbocharger when the turbocharger is first put into operation. The silicone grease must be put in the seal ring groove everytime a turbocharger is assembled. See the illustration.
