Changes To Default Overcurrent Settings For EMCP II+ {4490}

Usage:

All Generator Sets With EMCP II+

Reference: Service Manual Module, RENR1254, "Electronic Modular Control Panel II+ (EMCP II+) For PEEC Engines", Pages 33 & 174.

Service Manual Module, SENR5832, "Electronic Modular Control Panel II+ (EMCP II) For MUI Engines", Pages 33 & 178.

Service Manual Module, RENR1249, "Electronic Modular Control Panel II+ (EMCP II)", Pages 36 & 167.

Description of Change: The factory default values for overcurrent alarms and shutdowns can result in unnecessary alarms or shutdowns when the generator set is operated near full load. The setpoint values can be adjusted to any number from 100% to 160% by the user. The user should avoid settings that are too close to the operating current.

The factory default settings have been changed as follows: Setpoint P129 (Phase Overcurrent Alarm) and Setpoint P131 (Total Overcurrent Alarm) change from 100% to 105%. Setpoint P134 (Phase Overcurrent Shutdown) and Setpoint P136 (Total Overcurrent Shutdown) change from 100% to 110%.

Adaptable To: The change is adaptable to all Generator Sets With EMCP II+ Control Panels and effective with change 04 of the 118-2071 Control Group. Change the default values in RENR1254, pages 33 & 174, SENR5832, pages 33 & 178 and RENR1249, pages 36 & 167 to the new default values.
