New Turbocharger Wash Water Lines Groups Used {1052}

Usage:

3606 (8RB612-Up),
3608 (6MC510-Up),
3612 (9RC227-Up),
3616 (1PD208-209, 1PD211, 1PD244, 1PD250-261, 1PD265-Up, ) Engines Operating On Heavy Fuel

Description of Change: New turbocharger wash water lines groups are used on these engines. The new water lines groups will help reduce water valve plugging and eliminate water tube breakage. New exhaust manifold groups are used with the new turbocharger wash water lines groups. The only difference between the new and former exhaust manifold groups is the last manifold section (6 or 8 cylinder engines) or sections (12 or 16 cylinder engines) before the turbocharger. These new exhaust manifolds have larger diameter holes [18.0 mm (.71 in) versus 7.0 mm (.28 in)] where the turbocharger wash water is injected into the exhaust.

Adaptable To: Illustration 1 and Chart A identify the components of the new 134-2797 Turbocharger Wash Water Lines Group for 3606 Engines. If the new water lines group is installed, the water injection ports in the 7E-8295 Pipe and the 7E-8293 Manifold (parts of the 6I-4946 Exhaust Manifold Group) must be enlarged from a diameter 7.0 mm (.28 in) to 18.0 mm (.71 in) and tapped with 3/4- 14 NPTF thread.

Illustration 2 and Chart B identify the components of the new 134-2796 Turbocharger Wash Water Lines Group for 3608 Engines. If the new water lines group is installed, the water injection ports in the 7E-9619 Manifold (part of the 6I-4947 Exhaust Manifold Group) must be enlarged from a diameter 7.0 mm (.28 in) to 18.0 mm (.71 in) and tapped with 3/4- 14 NPTF thread.

Illustration 3 and Chart C identify the components of the new 134-2800 Turbocharger Wash Water Lines Group for 3612 Engines. If the new water lines group is installed, the water injection ports in the 4P-0436 Manifold, 4P-0437 Pipe, and 4P-0438 Pipe (parts of the 6I-4948 Exhaust Manifold Group) must be enlarged from a diameter 7.0 mm (.28 in) to 18.0 mm (.71 in) and tapped with 3/4- 14 NPTF thread.

Illustration 4 and Chart D identify the components of the new 134-2798 Turbocharger Wash Water Lines Group for 3616 Engines. If the new water lines group is installed, the water injection ports in the 4P-3047 Manifold and 4P-3048 Manifold (parts of the 6I-4949 Exhaust Manifold Group) must be enlarged from a diameter 7.0 mm (.28 in) to 18.0 mm (.71 in) and tapped with 3/4- 14 NPTF thread.
