Usage:
3600 Family Of Engines
Description of Change: New turbocharger groups are used to reduce exhaust leaks between the exhaust gas inlet housing and between the flange and exhaust gas outlet housing. The new turbocharger groups have a new exhaust gas inlet housing assembly that contains a sealing lip and increased number of bolts (from 12 to 24) to ensure contact throughout the flange circumference. See Illustrations 1 and 2. A high temperature sealant is used to seal the sheet metal cover on 3606 and 3612 Engines. Also, turbocharger trumpet retention is improved.
Adaptable To: The chart identifies the new and former turbocharger groups. The new turbocharger groups are effective with 3606 (8RB401), 3608 (6MC293), 3612 (9RC82), 3616 (1PD42) Engines. The new turbocharger groups are direct replacements for the former turbocharger groups which have been canceled.
